Ennobled Buck – HBS Dr. Pepper

We, Davidson Livestock, would like to thank Hugh and Ann Schafer for producing and giving us the opportunity to own HBS Dr. Pepper. When we purchased him from them we didn’t know that we were getting such an important piece of our colored program.

HBS Dr. Pepper is a big, extended fronted, paint buck that has a lot of bone and is still going strong at six of years of age. His offspring have earned champion points with stiff competition among many traditional animals. ABGA judge Mike Borsch said (about one of Dr. Peppers daughters that he made champion), "Personally I don’t focus on reds, however, this doe is outstanding whether she is red or traditional. She is just one solid doe."

HBS Dr. Pepper produced two red daughters that were in the top twelve of their classes at the 2005 ABGA Nationals. If that was all he did that would be great but we don’t just get show winning breeding stock from him, we also have produced many champion wethers from him from 2001 through the present.

We would also like to thank the ABGA for realizing the contribution that the non-traditional Boers are making to our industry and for giving us their own Ennoblement classification.
