‘163’ was purchased from ROK Ranch in 2002 as a bred doe.  Her breeder, Bill Merritt, had some incredible Nubians to cross with.  I am pleased to say ‘163’ is a true 50% boer cross.  In 2003 and the next two years following, she gave us triplets, having a girl and two boys each year.  Her first doeling my son named Sissy.  Despite my aversion to the name, that is what stuck and eventually became registered.  Sissy has 135 points at the time of the award for her dam. Her career actually began before the Doe of Excellence program was established winning a Reserve Overall at 7 months old.  Since the point system has in place she has been Overall Percentage Doe at 6 of the 7 ABGA shows she attended.  The next daughter, Mandy, was Pipeline bred, therefore, a little later to bloom.  As a yearling she has been shown minimally and championed twice already.  Mandy has her whole career ahead of her. Their mother, 163 is a very powerful doe, yet tall and long with strong frame and correct structure.  She sums that all up with plenty of elegance to earn the Doe of Excellence Award.  Thank you for the honor.
