Treasurer, Area 2
Natalye Scholl serves as Treasurer for the Junior American Boer Goat Association (JABGA). She currently attends Iowa Connections Academy.
Scholl has spent her life around goats; her family transitioned to ABGA registered goats after raising and maintaining a herd of commercial goats for many years. The Scholls run a small cow-calf operation, and Scholl’s grandparents also have a small row crop operation.
When starting out with Boer goats, a previous JABGA officer took the time to mentor Scholl, and she knew she wanted to remain involved with the program. Scholl has previously served as a JABGA Director and Reporter. According to Scholl, she “may like [her] goats more than people sometimes.” She also enjoys helping others prepare to sell their goats through fitting for shows or for sales.
Scholl has also shown pigs, calves, and sheep, and is involved with FFA through CAM High School, where she is the current Vice President, and 4-H through Benton Franklin 4-H Club.
When not involved in her family’s operations, Scholl has a special interest in photography, specifically for sale animals.
She plans to attend Des Moines Area Community College to pursue an associate’s degree in ag business.
Scholl is excited to continue her involvement in JABGA and act as a mentor to others within the program.
