iCompete issues have been resolved, and accounts are now  accessible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

TRANSFER APPLICATIONS:

  • The ABGA Transfer Application is available for those selling an animal but who do not have the original Certificate of Registration available. A statement of why the original Certificate is not available is required with a Transfer Application. Otherwise, the seller must name the buyer, sign and date the “Transfer” section on the back of the official Certificate of Registration to officially transfer the animal. Transfer Applications and other ABGA forms are available online HERE.

  • When you submit forms or applications to the ABGA office, please check that they are filled in completely. This reduces processing time and ensures your information is accurate.

  • The use of correction fluid (White Out) or any other medium invalidates ABGA Certificates of Registration. This includes transfer information written on the reverse side. The seller may "correct" the mistake on the Transfer portion (back) of a Certificate with a single line drawn through the mistake and the seller's initials.

ABGA SANCTIONED SHOWS:

  • If your show points are missing from the Blue Screen or are not calculated correctly, we may be waiting for the results from your show secretary. Show secretaries have 30 days after the show to submit results to ABGA. Contact your show secretary FIRST if your show points are missing.

  • Animals with a pending registration or Request For Information (RFI) form are not eligible for ABGA or JABGA sanctioned shows, because they are not officially registered. For more information, please see the ABGA Rules and Regulations.

RE-TATTOOING ANIMALS:

If an ABGA registered animal requires re-tattooing, the new tattoo must be placed directly on top of the old tattoo. According to the ABGA Rules and Regulations, the Certificate of Registration must be returned to ABGA and the Certificate is reissued to reflect that the animal has been retattooed. For more information, see the ABGA Rules and Regulations.

VIRTUAL COSTUME PARADE:

Ghouls and goblins and goats... oh my! ABGA is hosting a Virtual Costume Parade on our Facebook and Instagram pages – be sure to tag us with your best caprine costumes. We’ll post them on our website!

HURRICANE IAN ASSISTANCE:

The American Boer Goat Foundation (ABGF) is still accepting monetary donations to benefit those affected by Hurricane Ian through the ABGA CARES FUND.

REGISTRATIONS:

  • We are currently processing work submitted on October 26, 2022.

  • When you submit forms or applications to the ABGA office, please check that they are filled in completely. This reduces processing time and ensures your information is accurate.

  • When completing a Registration Application, be sure to include the registration numbers of both parents of the animal. Mark unregistered animals as BOERX (dam) or UBUCK (sire).
