Superintendent: Brian Hardy Brian Hardy runs H&C Boer Goat Farm in Taylorsville, NC, showcasing over 100 goats and hosting the Carolina Country Classic Boer Goat Show. Brian Hardy lives in the small rural town of Taylorsville, NC where he owns and operates H&C Boer Goat Farm with his wife Brooke and daughter Claire. His involvement in the Boer Goat industry started in 2017 with the purchase of some land, a bottle baby goat, and a daughter who loves goats. Today, the farm has grown to over 100 head of registered does, registered bucks & commercial does. Brian and Claire have been showing goats across the United States in both ABGA and commercial shows for the past 8 years. In 2023, Brian decided to host a show in North Carolina called The Carolina Country Classic Boer Goat Show. During this time, Brian has learned the importance of ring-side superintendents and the various operational tasks of conducting a show. JABGA Judge: Clint Demmitt Clint Demmitt, livestock judge from Bridgeport, TX, owns Demmitt Livestock & Sandy Creek Boer Goats. He is excited to judge in Louisville this June! Clint Demmitt is originally from Bridgeport, Texas. His family owns and operates Demmitt Livestock and Sandy Creek Boer Goats. Clint was a member of the South Plains College livestock judging team and later competed on the Texas Tech livestock judging and meat evaluation teams during college. Superintendent Mark Philips Mark Philips runs SBZ Ranch in Marshall, MN, specializing in Boer goats and supporting 4H youth in livestock shows since 2010. Mark Philips resides in Marshall, MN where he operates SBZ Ranch with his wife Susan and children Sami, Bella, and Zach. His involvement for the Boer Goat started in 2010 with 4H projects for his kids and has grown into a successful operation with over 100 head of registered donors, replacement does & commercial females. As a loyal ring steward for the Never Boering Goat Show and the Minnesota State Fair 4H Meat Goat Show, and with children who have been in the show ring for over 15 years, Mark has become knowledgeable of all the ins and outs of the show ring and is excited to work along side the other Ring Superintendents this summer to help make the National show a success. Bred and Owned and Breeding Showmanship Judge Josh Taylor Josh Taylor, a proud OSU grad & ag leader, has judged top national shows & now manages the Payne County Expo, supporting his community. Josh Taylor, a Perkins, Oklahoma native, is an experienced livestock judge and agricultural leader. An ABGA certified judge since 2010, he has officiated at the National Open Show three times and the National Junior Show twice. He holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Leadership from Oklahoma State University. Currently, Josh serves as the Managing Director of the Payne County Expo Center in Stillwater, OK, where he continues to contribute to the agricultural and livestock community. Sammy Lerena, ABGA judge and Red Oak Ranch owner in Texas, raises Boer goats and runs a reproduction business, specializing in AI for sheep and goats. JABGA Judge: Sammy Lerena Sammy Lerena, ABGA judge and Red Oak Ranch owner in Texas, raises Boer goats and runs a reproduction business, specializing in AI for sheep and goats. Sammy Lerena and his wife Taylor live in Lipan, Texas where they own and operate Red Oak Ranch. Their herd currently is about 150 head. Sammy Lerena Sammy has been an ABGA member since 2006, and in the spring of 2014, he became a Certified Judge for the ABGA. Since then, he's judged in over 25 different states. Some of his judging highlights has been judging 4 different times at the ABGA National Show, Yellow Rose Classic at Fort Worth Stock show twice, NAILE in Louisville twice and the Houston Livestock Show Along with actively raising competitive show goats, Sammy also has a small ruminant reproduction business, where much of the year he travels the country artificially inseminating 500-700 head of sheep and goats.  For more information or questions, contact criley@abga.org

This event fosters confidence, critical thinking, and leadership, empowering JABGA youth to advocate for agriculture and connect with their community.
